Early morning is the sweet spot in September: cooler air, fewer riders, and dew still on the grass along the edges. I keep my dogs on a leash here since it is a shared path, but the flat, smooth surface is easy on paws and on you.
Preserve Paths and Neighborhood Loops
On the Palmer Ranch side, the community preserve trails and lake loops give you a quieter alternative to the main path. Several neighborhoods wind around ponds and oak hammocks with short loops that are perfect for a quick morning circuit before work.
