The Waterfront Lifestyle

What Boating Opportunities
Are Available in Sarasota?

Living near Palmer Ranch puts you in the heart of one of Florida's best boating regions. Sarasota County offers over 35 miles of coastline along the Gulf of Mexico, with Little Sarasota Bay, the Intracoastal Waterway, and the Gulf of Mexico all within easy reach. Whether you're a seasoned boater or just love being near the water, the South Sarasota corridor offers incredible access to everything this lifestyle provides.

From the public boat ramps at Blackburn Point and Nokomis Beach to the full-service marinas downtown and in Osprey, getting on the water is easy. And if you don't own a boat yet? That's part of the fun of living here — there's always a friend with a boat, a sunset cruise to book, or a kayak adventure waiting.

Julie's take: One of the things that sold me on the Palmer Ranch area was how close everything water-related is. I can be at Marina Jack's for dinner, at Blackburn Point launching the kayak, or on a boat heading to a secluded beach on Casey Key — all within minutes. The waterfront lifestyle isn't just a perk of living here. It's the reason people stay.
