Perched atop the Art Ovation Hotel in the heart of downtown, this rooftop bar serves up craft cocktails with panoramic views of the Sarasota skyline and bay. It's the kind of spot where the golden hour feels extra golden — arrive about 30 minutes before sunset and grab a seat along the railing. The vibe is chic but relaxed, and the cocktail menu is creative without being pretentious.

The Westin's rooftop bar is one of those hidden-in-plain-sight gems that locals love. Finn's at Sharkey's
Upscale Waterfront Dining
Finn's is the more refined side of the Venice Beach dining scene — an upscale experience with beautiful, uninterrupted water views. It's the perfect spot for a sunset dinner or an elegant cocktail as the sky turns gold over the Gulf. The atmosphere is polished without being stuffy, and the food matches the view. If you're looking for a memorable evening on the water, this is the one.
Sharky's on the Pier

Just a sidewalk away from Finn's, Sharky's is the laid-back counterpart — an outdoor casual dining and cocktail spot with sand between your toes and a cold drink in hand. The real magic? The fishing pier that stretches out over the water. Walk it at sunset and you'll understand why Venice locals guard this place so closely. Come for the cocktails, stay for the view, and don't miss the pier — it's pure Gulf Coast at golden hour.
Tip: Arrive 30–45 minutes before sunset for the best seats. The sky over Sarasota does not disappoint.

November – April (Peak Season)

May – October (Summer)
Quieter dining scene with shorter waits. Great time to try new restaurants and enjoy outdoor patios. Some spots offer summer prix-fixe menus.
Year-Round
Marina Jack's, Café Epicure, and the St. Armands Circle restaurants are reliable year-round. Farmers markets and food festivals add seasonal variety.
Where Should You Eat After a Home Showing?
