The 6th Annual Fall Festival & Carnival runs at University Town Center October 29 through November 1, and Blood Relations closes at the Venice Theatre on Sunday, November 1. Halloween weekend itself is packed: the 38th Downtown Venice Art Festival, the Downtown Halloween Strut, Fright Night on St. Armands Circle, the Sarasota Opera's fall season opening on October 30, Ghostbusters in Concert on October 29 and Golden Girls at the Van Wezel, plus the Sarasota Fine Art Show on the bayfront at JD Hamel Park and the Clasico Day of the Dead and Halloween Block Party on Main Street. November picks up immediately: the Sarasota Medieval Fair opens November 7 at the Woods of Mallaranny in Myakka City, the Living Arts Festival runs November 8 through 15, the Veterans Day Parade steps off in downtown Sarasota November 11, and the Siesta Key Crystal Classic and the Sarasota Fall Fine Art Festival at JD Hamel Park land November 13 through 16. Sarasota Fright Fest: Thursday to Saturday, October 29 to 31, Sarasota County Fairgrounds and Robarts Arena, 3000 Ringling Boulevard. The final run of the haunted season.
