This month's headliner is Ya Ya & The Diamond Chasers, a band known for their high-energy sets that blend rock, soul, and dance music. Discover Warm Mineral Springs Park Day
Also on Saturday, August 8, Warm Mineral Springs Park (12200 San Servando Avenue, North Port) hosts its annual Discover Warm Mineral Springs Park Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is Florida's only natural warm spring, maintaining a constant 87 degrees year-round, and admission is free for North Port residents on this day.
The park features walking paths, picnic areas, and the famous mineral-rich spring-fed pool that has drawn visitors for generations. The drive from Palmer Ranch is about 15 minutes east down Center Road, making it an easy afternoon trip. The spring water is believed to have therapeutic mineral properties, and the park itself is a peaceful natural setting that feels a world away from the nearby development.
Saturday Sarasota Farmers Market & Cars & Coffee
The Sarasota Farmers Market continues every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Main Street and Lemon Avenue. August produce is at its peak right now with local sweet corn, tomatoes, figs, mangoes, peaches, and fresh herbs all abundant. The summer pace is wonderfully relaxed with smaller crowds than the winter season and live acoustic music adding to the atmosphere.
Also on Saturday, August 8 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Sarasota Cars & Coffee brings vintage and exotic automobiles together for an open-air car meet. It is a free, family-friendly event with coffee vendors and car enthusiasts comparing notes.
