FIFA World Cup Final: The Big Watch Party at The Bay — July 19
The FIFA World Cup 2026 has been the talk of Sarasota all month, and The Bay waterfront park has become the place to watch it. Free large-screen broadcasts, food trucks, and a community atmosphere right on the lawn with views of Sarasota Bay — it's been one of the best summer gathering spots in the city.

The Bay Nature Park: Grand Opening — Monday, July 13
This is a big one. The City of Sarasota is officially opening Phase One of The Bay Nature Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, July 13. The Nature Park is the newest addition to The Bay's waterfront campus — a restored natural area designed to showcase native plants, attract pollinators, and provide a green corridor along the bayfront.
For anyone who's been watching The Bay's evolution from a concept to a true community gathering place, this park represents the next chapter. It's part of a broader vision to make Sarasota's bayfront more accessible, more ecological, and more connected to the neighborhoods around it. Weekly Farmers Markets — Saturday & Sunday
The weekly farmers market routine is in full summer swing:
- Sarasota Farmers Market — Saturday, July 11, 7 a.m.–1 p.m., Main Street and Lemon Avenue. Eighty-plus vendors, live acoustic music, and summer produce at its peak. Mangoes, tropical flowers, and local honey are standouts right now.
- Siesta Key Farmers Market — Sunday, July 12, 8 a.m.–12 p.m., Siesta Key Village. Smaller and more relaxed than the downtown market. Pair it with a morning walk on Siesta Beach — even in July, that quartz sand stays cool underfoot.
